Made to measure for your foot

A partial foot prosthesis is a "replacement foot" customised to meet your specific needs and made of premium, hypoallergenic silicone. Approved even for use inside the body, silicone is easy to handle, very hygienic, skin-friendly and especially stable yet pliable. For more information, please see "What is a partial foot prosthesis made of?"

The socket of the foot prosthesis is precisely adapted to your residual limb. This results in an optimised fit compared to other fitting options. For one, it keeps the foot very stable and also evenly distributes weight across the full foot surface while walking. You can also wear any normal shoes with a partial foot prosthesis.

Your partial foot prosthesis is custom-made by your prosthetist or by Ottobock. You'll even receive a trial prosthesis during the fitting process that you can wear for four to six weeks so as to ensure the optimum fit of your future partial foot prosthesis.

Body, mind and eye

Your new partial foot prosthesis restores the function and appearance of the amputated parts of your foot. It supports your everyday movements, boosts muscle activity, improves the return flow of blood in the leg and restores a virtually normal foot appearance.

In terms of looks, the partial foot prosthesis can replicate your healthy foot down to the finest detail. This is why Ottobock offers three different versions of prosthesis. In the Basic version, the hue is matched to your own skin colour, such that anyone not in the know will hardly notice the amputation.

In the Classic version of the partial foot prosthesis, the toes are modelled on your healthy foot for an exact match. In addition, different colours are used for your various skin regions. You can also choose between silicone and acrylic toenails – the latter allowing you to keep up with changing fashions in nail polish.

The Natural version offers the most authentic look. Acrylic toenails are standard in this version, so you can apply nail polish. Moreover, in this version the skin including blood vessels, freckles and liver spots is modelled in detail using up to eight different colours. You can even add spider veins if you want.
